dr hab. Jakub Wróblewski
Jakub Wróblewski – an interdisciplinary artist, director and camera operator. He works in video, interactive film, audiovisual narrative, film theory, graphic narrative structures, immersion activities and art-and-science projects. The scope of his search is wide, and his artistic strategy is based on exploring and going beyond the boundaries of the medium he currently works with. After 2017, his interests oscillate around virtual reality, game engines, experiments with 3D technology and the issue of embodiment. He is currently working on A Rudimentary and Practical Treatise on the Embodiment for Beginners. Jakub Wróblewski was born in 1983 in Warsaw. He studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. A holder of post-doctoral degree, he works at his alma mater as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Media Art; head of degree Studio of 3D and Virtual Events II. Scholarship holder of Young Poland programme (National Centre for Culture), tutor in the Gaude Polonia (NCC) program, winner of the Szajna Multimedia Festival Grand Prix. Author of an interactive adaptation of James Joyce’s last novel, First We Feel Then We Fall (collaboration with dr hab. Katarzyna Bazarnik, Jagiellonian University), author of visual grammar for Symphony of The Ursus Factory film directed by Jaśmina Wójcik (award of the Museum of Modern Art and the Polish Film Institute). Graduate of Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. As a student he conducted research on the status of computer games in contemporary art. He established and headed Animagica student research group, running class- es in 3D modelling, rendering and animation using a wide range of tools, e.g. kinect motion capture. He completed the Game Dev School training in Warsaw, gaining computer gaming sector competences, from planning and developing a budget to execution. He is currently assistant and lecturer at the Faculty of Media Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He runs classes in 3D graphics, modelling, animation and virtual reality.
Sebastian Sebulec
Sebulec studiował na Wydziale Grafiki ASP w Warszawie, brał udział w wystawach m.in. w Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej U-jazdowski i Muzem Włókiennictwa w Łodzi. Tworzy przy pomocy grafiki trójwymiarowej, projektując postacie awatarów i towarzyszy, które zamienia w obiekty przy użyciu m.in. druku 3d, silikonu i futrzanych tkanin. W swojej twórczości kładzie nacisk na ekspresje queerowej tożsamości, inspiruje się kulturą i estetyką internetowych fandomów.
